(Southern Michigan)—Nothing rings in the holiday season like a carefully decorated home, unlimited eggnog, snow-covered scenery and the smell of fresh pine. Experience all this and more with a stay at one of our 24 exclusive Bed and Breakfast Inns.

Nestled in the beautiful Amish farm country of Southern Michigan, this charming old-world paradise is a short two to two-and-a-half hour drive from the metropolitan areas of Detroit, Indianapolis, and Chicago. The central location makes the Inns an ideal place for families scattered throughout the Midwest to convene and enjoy the Christmas season in an effortless celebration.

Nevermind the hassle of setup and cleanup- our participating Inns remove the endless chores of decorating, cooking, and dishes. Our Inns are truly dedicated to providing its guests with a stress-free holiday season.

There are plenty of nearby attractions to keep guests busy. The St. Joseph region was first settled in the early 1800’s, which guests can experience firsthand by exploring the surrounding historic villages and architecture.

For those with an interest in art, located nearby the Inns are galleries and working studios open to the public.

With elevated tourism in and around the Southern Michigan area, special holiday fairs and events occur all season long. Children especially love the visits from Santa and his reindeer. For the older guests- carriage rides, Christmas caroling, and antique shopping amongst the Christmas parades and glittering festivities do the trick for spicing up a visit to one of our Inns.

Each participating Inn offers unique architecture, ornamented holiday décor, not to mention the special holiday packages.

At the Mendon Country Inn in Mendon, MI, South African expatriate Innkeepers Chef Gerard and Cheryl Clarke host English Christmas weekends. These special weekends include a chocolate tasting, full country breakfast, special English Christmas dinner prepared by Chef Gerard and a gift exchange, not to mention a multitude of other activities.

The Willow Glen Pond Bed & Breakfast Inn offers guests a seasonal package in addition to its restful, elegant quarters. Their special package, “A Dickens of a Christmas Weekend” invites guest to join in on the fun for the first weekend of December in a Christmas celebration of “Merry Olde England” circa 1840’s. The package includes a horse-drawn carriage and traditional English courses, such as plum pudding and mince pies.

The Sanctuary at Wildwood Bed & Breakfast Inn hosts its annual “A Colorado Country Christmas”, a two-night stay on the first and second weekend of December complete with Christmas dinner, music, and even a visit from Santa and his elf.

The merriment does not end there- after all, it’s the holiday season. If the Christmas festivities are not enough, there are special New Years celebrations and packages for guests at the Inns.

The Munro House Bed and Breakfast offers a special New Year’s Eve Weekend Murder Mystery Dinner, complete with a 2 night stay at the Inn with a romantic 7- course dinner, massage, movies, and a couples-only game of Who-Done-It.
